FY2027 Budget Calendar
January 13: Hold budget citizen input period at regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
January 30: City Departments last day to turn in budget.
February 24: City Council set the Public Hearing for the FY2027 Proposed Property Tax Levies for the 24th day of March at 5:30 pm.
February 27: City submits Proposed Property Tax Levy Rate to IDOM
March 2: City submits Proposed Property Tax Levy Public Hearing to Linn Newsletter
March 12: Public Hearing for Proposed Property Tax levies is published, post on all social media and electronic sites.
March 24: Special Session for Public Hearing on the Proposed Property Tax levies, the hearing must be held separate from the council meeting – no other business may be included in this hearing and meeting. Set the Public Hearing for the FY2027 Budget approval for the 14th day of April.
March 24: Send Public Hearing notice for Budget to newspaper.
April 3: Public Hearing for the Budget is published in Linn Newsletter.
April 14: Public Hearing is held, and budget approved by Council.
April 30: Last day to file budget
July 1: Budget takes effect
