FY2025 City of Center Point Audit
BerganKDV has released an audit report on the City of Center Point, Iowa.
The City's receipts totaled $8,789,399 the year ended June 30, 2025, a 10.7 percent increase from the prior year. The receipts included $1,628,874 in property tax, $227,036 from tax increment financing, $453,263 from other taxes, $1,952,712 from charges for service, $497,433 from operating grants and contributions, $3,816,420 from capital grants and contributions, $48,325 from unrestricted interest on investments, $63,836 of miscellaneous receipts and $101,500 of proceeds from long-term debt.
Disbursements for the year ended June 30, 2025, totaled $8,250,208 a 16.8 percent increase from the prior year, and included $214,124 for public works, $505,858 for general government, $122,182 for public safety, $634,872 for culture and recreation, $19,851 for community and economic development, $503,575 for debt service and $4,315,999 for capital projects. Also, disbursements for business-type activities totaled $1,933,747.
The increase in receipts was due to increased capital grant receipts. The increase in disbursements was due to increased capital activity.
